Lost Ruins Cowl is the third design in my Peruvian series and is inspired by the Amazon Rainforest and ancient Incan ruins you might stumble upon hidden in the Amazon. This cowl is done in collaboration with the amazing Kelsey of Primrose Yarn Co. She came up with a beautiful new colorway just for me! When it came to choosing a name for this colorway, I loved that the word Amazonas (Amazon in English) has two meanings. There is the Amazon Rainforest filled with vibrant colors, home to beautiful flora and fauna; but there are also the powerful Amazon warriors. These amazing mythical women are said to be fiercely independent, courageous warriors, stronger than men. To me that is just so empowering to think of these powerful warrior women. Not only is this name and collaboration inspired by Peru but also shows how much stronger women can be when working together.
As part of this collaboration Primrose Yarn Co is offering some beautiful kits for this pattern. They can be purchased through her website. The kit include yarn to knit the cowl and also the pattern. To receive the pattern you will need to provide your Raverly username. This is done with my full approval and I will receive all the profits in terms of the pattern price. The custom colorway Amazonas will be one of the kits available as well as Pheasant and so many other amazing colorways that Kelsey and her team came up with.
